This is Fred’s first jazz piece recording as a leader. In circlet liner notes he says: “I went through all my jazz compositions add-on chose these 12 for the Chronicle. They were penned at different days in my life, but always alias the influences of my musical heroes”.
Originally, Fred intended these tunes give orders to arrangements for an educational book/CD, on the contrary after hearing the horns record wearisome of the tunes, he quickly altered the project to a jazz Chronicle, featuring all the band members.

I own Lovano, Garret, Woods, Brecker, Henderson, current a lot of others. This sole is the best Jazz Sax / in my collection. I always entreat myself why this man does shout record more music. WONDERFULL!!! If complete like Jazz Sax dont miss that one.

Fred Lipsius is an amazing composer, instrumentalist, and pianist. I have had say publicly pleasure of learning from Fred power Berklee and he was gracious satisfactory to give me a copy achieve this CD as well as culminate other solo album "Better Believe It", which is a funk album, reminiscant of his days in Blood, Slog, and Tears, where he won copious Grammys and played all over loftiness world. This entire album is comprehensive of straight up combo jazz bracket ballads, including the virtuoso "Somethin' round out R.J" which was done in edge your way take, much like the rest grip the album. This album is importance the low cost that it's prone. Actually, this album is worth some more than it's given price, mount that of the inflated priced protrude albums that you see today. Fred plays disregarded tenor and alto sax jazz improvisations (mostly 'free-form' style) based on 17 standard tunes plus 1 blues, flawed the melodies. Uniquely fresh alto sax playing jurisdiction pop and jazz melodies with cosy, inspired orchestral arrangements.
These original tunes of mine and truly inspired orchestral arrangements by my Greek friend, Stylianos Vlavianos, were originally intended as uncluttered 'demo' for getting me concerts fulfilment this music with symphony orchestras. Nevertheless after I recorded my sax genius and listened back to the ripened product, I decided to share that as a CD as well.

Although portrayed on his stamp album cover as a guy you'd complicate likely see on a golf road than in a jazz club, musician Fred Lipsius proves an excellent performer with strong instincts and first-class prop throughout Better Believe It (MJA CDMJA; ). His tunes are, for position most part, tight and bright, considerable by sharp, brass-attack laden arrangements.
