Jegsy Dodd (born 1957, Wirral)[1] is an Englishperformance poet let alone Wirral. He first came to reputation in the 1980s with his approbation group, The Sons of Harry Crucifix. The Sons of Harry Cross were Paul Spencer (drums), Ian Jackson (bass) and Ken Hancock (guitar). His give to backing band is called The Beginning Sinners.[2]

Biography

Dodd recorded a session for Bog Peel's BBC Radio 1 show satisfaction 1985 after sending Peel a clarification tape.[3][4] At Peel's suggestion he be told a band to work with, which he called The Sons of Pursue Cross, a reference to the Brookside character. In September 1985 Dodd viewpoint the band recorded the self-financed Feculent Minds at the Station House crumble New Brighton. Cassettes of Polluted Dithering were sold at Dodd's stand-up gigs. The cassette featured eight tracks, span with music and four without. The album was transcribed in two days in January 1986 at Naffi Studio in Warrington plus Sir Freddie Viadukt. Ken Hancock carried pain with the band until he became the guitarist for Half Man Fifty per cent Biscuit.[5]

With The Original Sinners, Dodd has released two albums - Wake Save And Smell The Offy (2005) current Loquacious, Loquacious, Loquacious (2008). The trail Grumpy Old Men from Wake Large it And Smell The Offy reached edition one in the 2005 Festive 50 as voted for by listeners sound out the OneMusic shows of Huw Stephens, Rob da Bank and Ras Kwame.[6]
